Illuminating the Island: A Showcase of Festive Creativity

This holiday season, Tenerife will transform into a winter wonderland, with towns and cities showcasing an array of spectacular light displays throughout November, December, and January. The lights will not only enhance the festive spirit but will also be part of vibrant cultural programs that include markets and family-oriented activities, aimed at drawing shoppers and tourists to the heart of town centers.

In Santa Cruz, the highly anticipated official lighting ceremony is set for November 20 at 7:30 pm. The city will be adorned with an impressive 4.5 million LED lights, illuminating over 400 locations. This year’s display will feature a staggering 2,000 illuminated ornaments, 119 arches, 92 kilometers of garlands, and 86 ground displays, all made possible by a significant investment of €900,000. Special attention has been devoted to key access routes and commercial areas, ensuring that the capital radiates a warm and festive atmosphere throughout the holiday season.
