This growth can be largely attributed to enhancements in the Canary Islands’ Municipal Financing Fund and additional financial support from the State. The budget approval received strong backing from Coalición Canaria and independent councillor Auxiliadora Marrero, while members of the People’s Party and PSOE opted to abstain from the voting process, highlighting a divide in local political support.
