Puerto de la Cruz Celebrates a Vibrant Summer Carnival with Mexican Influence
This weekend, Puerto de la Cruz will host its much-anticipated Summer Carnival from September 19 to 21, showcasing a lively atmosphere infused with Mexican culture.
Festivities Across Iconic Locations
The festivities will unfold at the renowned Costa Martiánez Tourist Complex and Playa Jardín, featuring a diverse array of events including galas, concerts, and parades. Over the three-day celebration, attendees can expect a vibrant lineup that caters to all ages, featuring orchestras, DJs, drag performances, samba groups, and various shows that embody the spirit of the carnival.

The main events will take place at the Costa Martiánez Tourist Complex, starting with the Transgressive Gala on Friday evening. This event will be directed by local artist Wycho Torres and will feature prominent drag artists from the region.
On Saturday, the festivities will continue with the Diversas Festival, hosted by well-known drag performer Marcela Kaufmann and Iván Padrón. This will be followed by the Grand Pachanga, an exciting party featuring performances from Ni un pelo de Tonto, Boys Machine, and DJ Ubay Hernández.
The carnival will reach its peak on Sunday, September 21, with a grand celebration at Playa Jardín. Kicking off at noon, the Grand Parranda and Coso will showcase groups from the Puerto de la Cruz Carnival, as well as participants from Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Palma. The event will also include samba groups and local choreographic collectives.
Music will fill the air until 8:00 PM, with performances by DJs Luis de León, Alex Navarro, Laurentini, Dassierl, guitarist Gabo Siverio, and the Swing Latino Orchestra, ensuring a lively conclusion to the summer festivities.
